Microbiology

Protecting against damage to health and ensuring the quality of food are the key issues that promote food hygiene for consumer protection. The microbiological examination is the most important tool in the hygienic monitoring of food. With the official methods according to § 64 LFGB and the rapid PCR methods ÖHMI Analytik analyzes among other things food and feed. The focus of the analyzes are spoilage organisms (eg yeasts, mold and lactic acid bacteria) as well as potential pathogens (eg Salmonella, Listeria, Campylobacter).

Microbiological analyzes are used in the following subject areas:

The range of services is supplemented by sterility tests, inhibitor tests or preservation stress tests. We are happy to assist you in the determination of the hygiene status of your production.

In addition, we are certified drinking water testing agency according to § 15.4 of the Drinking Water Ordinance 2001.
